1. So you’ve had a busy past few months in the UK. how did the scene over there inspire your style?
- Ye, I was over there for 18 months. The scene there is amazing, it's very healthy and there is always something to do, someone to see, somewhere to go. It always amazed me that basically for every genre of music that exists there was a party catering for it every weekend. Big names featured all the time, but I suppose you can't expect anything less from London can you?! I finally met artists who i have looked up to for years, but apart from that just experiencing London is inspiration in itself.

2. What drove your style to change from fidget to more jacking tech?
- It's sad to say but the 'fidget' tag is just not respected in the industry anymore, and I realised this while over in the UK. It's unfortunate that the term is tainted, but it seems as though the dance scene in South Africa is a few steps behind the international scene. That's why my sets have become more tech and techno orientated recently, I'm just trying to do my bit to help get South Africa up there with the rest of the world. Saying that, there is mad talent in this country, our producers have definitely come a long way in recent years and I see good things for our future.

3.Out of all your tunes, which one ‘never fails’?
- To be honest, Sneaky Thang (off my upcoming EP on Dave Spoon's record label) always seems to get a good response! It was produced while I was based in London. There's a preview of it up on my Soundcloud in fact, it's due out on 6th December on Televizion.

- I'd go back to the year that pizza was invented.

5. What events are you booked for in the next few weeks?
- I'm at Stones Edenvale this weekend for Soundfactory which is definitely set to be a big one. I'm also very excited to play Mozambique on the 3rd of December for Areira Fest. I've got bookings for Truth next month and you can also catch me on the 29th of December when I'll be making my return to The Workshop in St Francis.

6. Any collaborations planned for the future?
- Indeed! They are being kept on the lowdown for now, but I can say that I've got three in the pipeline. One of them with a UK producer who has blown up this past year, the other with an up and coming SA producer, and another with local DJ/producer James G - all very different styles of music. I'm really excited about the three of them so keep your ears to the ground.

7. How hard has it to come back to a scene after changing from your old style to something fresh? Have the people been enjoying your new tracks?
- It's tough coming back to your home country not really knowing how the scene has progressed and the direction it has taken while being away. I'm very impressed with what's being played here at the moment though; the sound is more mature, more respected. I know the SA crowds like their jacking beats and I've always been a die hard fan of Chicago inspired jacking house, so I kept those elements in my music and sets and try to merge it with tech house. I do get the odd person or two that questions my new style, but the majority of people seem to enjoy it. This music is what I'm passionate about at the moment, and that's what it's all about isn't it?

- I'm looking forward to it, last time I played Soundfactory was when Tom EQ was over a few years back and that was mad. I'm expecting something similar!
